The PERFECT Double Cheeseburger
- American cheese slices
- 1lb. ground beef
- 2 cups of iceberg lettuce
- 1 tomato (Thinly sliced)
- 1 white onion (Thinly sliced)
- Pickle slices
- Hamburger buns
- Butter
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Mayonnaise
Method
Prepping is KEY!
Shape the beef patties into thin squares about 1/4 inch thick
Thinly slice your tomato and onion
Roughly chop about 2 cups of iceberg lettuce
Remove plastic wrap from the cheese slices
Heat a pan on your stovetop at med-high heat
Melt some butter onto the pan
Toast the inside of your hamburger buns - Remove and set on a plate
Add the patties - Make sure they sizzle when they hit the pan
Cook for about 1 minute, flip, and then cook for another minute
Add cheese onto the patties - Remove when it begins to melt
Begin assembling from the bottom
Smear mayo on the bottom bun
Add your lettuce
Add the tomato
Add 2 patties with cheese
Add the onion
Add the pickles
Squeeze the ketchup and mustard to your liking
Finish with the top bun
